is there a fast way to create the hundreds of images needed for a shp based on the conscript sequence?
maybe something like flash?

U can do re-color an infantry with a real fast way, with Image Robot. But there's no way to do a new infantry from scratch fast.

I thought some people used 3D editors and there were also modders extracting units from other games. No idea how to myself.

what kind of 3D editors they use?
-poser?
-quark?
-Gmax?
the editor should be able to work with animations ofcourse

Some of them use Gmax and 3DS Max for voxels and maybe buildings, but I think they do infantry by hand with Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

The Warhammer 40k Mod utilizes 3dsMax5 to make it's infantry.
