OK, so until these get patched along with the zillion other problems, I come good again and fix the missing/incorrect entries in the Intel Database and the Transmission Log for ya

BUG 1 - Intel Database.
In case you hadnt figured it out, theres 2 bugs in the Intel Database which mean you cannot obtain 2 entries, 1 for GDI and 1 for NOD. This has been verified in numerous places by numerous people who have played the game to death on each difficulty level and scoured for the missing entries, only to find that the game simply doesnt give them to you.

If you want to have them appear in game, then you need to edit a couple of text files in your profile data. This is the only way to get them to appear in the game unless EA patch the bug.

Navigate to this folder on your comp - C:\Documents and Settings\*YOUR USER NAME*\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Profiles\*YOUR PROFILE NAME*\IDB\

You need to open 2 text files in that folder;-

(i) Open 009_Nod_WeaponryIDB.INI and add the line 311_Commando = 1 into the list. This is the missing NOD entry that gives you the info on the NOD Commando along with the pic.

(ii) Open 000_GDI_Internal_MemosIDB.INI and add the line 421_TripodCaptured = 1 into the list. This is the missing GDI entry that gives you the info on a captured Scrin Tripod and how they can be re-used.

BUG 2 - Transmission Log.
Another annoyance (not strictly a bug) but again a number of people have noticed that even upon completion of every campaign there are missing numbered entries from the list. The reality is that some videos were removed or disabled and it's those numbers that are missing, but the numbering of the list was not re-done so it remains wrong and mis-leading. Interestingly, after sifting through the files, it seems there were to be THREE different endings for GDI...

To fix it, and give yourself every available and viewable movie in the Transmission Log in the game, navigate to this folder on your comp - C:\Documents and Settings\*YOUR USER NAME*\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Profiles\*YOUR PROFILE NAME*\IDB\

Open the movies.INI file and replace its entire contents with this text instead;-

NOTES: some of the listings will NOT produce a movie (this means that the movie file itself is either missing from the game or is not linked-back to by the transmissionlog.apt file). For a couple of the missing movies, watch the 'deleted scenes' section on the Kane Edition Bonus DVD. Watch this space for a mod that will put them back into the game

This bit annoyed me as I really liked the intro to the Scrin Campaign but you cant get to see it again

To fix the numbering, after doing all of that, simply edit each entry in the VIDEO section of the cnc3.csf string file to renumber the entries correctly. While you are at it, as a nicety only, rename the video:missionend11er_nod_3_3_desc entry to video:missionender_nod_3_3_desc to avoid a missing string entry error in the Transmission Log listing.

Oh, cool, cool. I was wondering about that.

Quick question. Have you or anybody else been able to find stuff that didn't make it into the game, but is hidden in the files themselves... (like vidoes, intel, art, etc.)

I remember Westwood did this with some videos on their older C&C games, and EA left a BUNCH of unused art buttons in Generals.

Is it true that you have to click on some intel in the game or it doesn't enter into the database? I have all the intelligence stripes for GDI but am missing more than 1 entry.

No you dont have to click on it, you just have to fulfill specific criteria in each mission to unlock the intel itself.

A hidden criteria or something not shown in the intel objectives to accomplish? I made sure that all the intel objectives are completed for each mission but there's still a few missing.

They may have to be unlocked in the same way as some of the special bonuses, such as the one mission for GDI, cant remember the mission exactly other than its in Act 4, a bonus is to destroy the scrin relay thing, if you dont destroy it fast enough you fail the bonus, but a new bonus appears to destroy a mothership that it calls in.
