Opinion?

Hello all, I was just wondering whether you thought this was a good idea. Before I say it I'll just point out this is a bit more realistic than the average mod, no prism technology here ;-)
It's sort of a 1950's era mod which has an alternate stoyline with a twist, Germany doesn't exist. They're still a load of warring factions with Prussia at the centre of it all. There's two major blocks on either side of the neutral countries in the middle of Europe.
There's Britain, France, Spain and the Scandinavian Union (don't ask) on one side. On the other is Russia, China, Ukraine and one more country which isn't decided. Then the rest of the story goes on with a large war ensuing with lots of major battles which are all going to be made up of course.

Right, now the actual question. Do you think the idea of an 'artillery barrage' is good? It's designed to replace the lightning storm, is fairly powerful and is very inaccurate. It'll start with a large remap. flare coming out (clouds) with the shells coming down replacing the lightning. Since all the maps will be new I can get round the map turning to dark and there's no problems with the animation (I think the clouds use unittemp anyway so remap's no problem) I just want to see if people think it's actually good. There's a load more unconfirmed superweapons but I won't bother posting them here.

For YR, why? RA2 just isn't as flexible any more ;-)
