    Default Airplanes cant have drones ?

    I've come a long way with my modding and today I was going to make a GuardianAngel Drone for my unique commanche chopper.
    Problem is I cant get it to work
    It DOES work when I put it on a tank, But I cant seem to place it in the air.
    I tried:
    modding the locomotor
    removing the "airplane" tag (all that did was not make the apache lift off after building it as far as I know)
    various stuff in hight spawn variations for the drone

    I just cant find anything wrong

    anybody know if it is possible or not ?

    What happened when you added the drone? Did Generals crash when it was built, when loading or what?

    Strangely I tried giving a drone to a building today but that wouldn't work either (crashed when built)

    No, the game loads and all that but when I build the chopper that should be able to build the drone, the picture just stays gray. It never was available in the chopper. I had some crashes with building it from the tank but I fixed all that so it should work just fine (except it wont use the flamethrower now that is has the lasers even though I removed secondarytarget=infantry)

    did you make sure that it had the correct modules, and type names? it might need fs_factory or fs_tech...

    could you expand on that a little more ?
    I havent run into this before so I dont quite follow.

    hhmm, I found a way of making it work but its not what I want :S
    I can make the drone have the chopper as master when I add the "buildupgrade" code to the copper but make the upgrade (in upgrade.ini) a PLAYER upgrade and ad PLAYER_UPGRADE to the commandbutton.ini (where the drone creation code is)
    Now, the button is available on the chopper but does nothing, also the upgrade does not reset when the drone dies
    but when I build the upgrade from a tank or the command center the drone comes out of the chopper and guards it, or if the chopper is already present, the drone comes in from outside of the border, flying in ... kindof a wierd sight anyway ...

    to go into the FS_FACTORY .. I looked it up not knowing what to do ...
    so to experiment I added FS_FACTORY and/or FS_TECHNOLIGY to the "kindoff" of the chopper but it had no effect whatsoever :|

    anybody have more suggestions ?

    I was just saying that to have some upgrades built, it might need something like that on it. I had some problem with having buildings build upgrades w/o a certain module and type...

    I've successfully added drones to a building before so that should work.

    I dont think thats it because for testing I added the build buttons to my command center, and whan I do is build a tank and the chopper
    both have the same code (the create code, and button) to build the drone and it is available from the tank (and works perfectly) but on the chopper the button stays gray...
