Okay boys, i’m a Imperial Assault team member. We actually have a little problem: we want to have new bigger trees. And we have a lot of bugs and problems about that. Thats why we are requesting your help![]()
We want 3 tree categories:
We need :- Normal Trees: those from vanilla Zero Hour. They are exactly the same
- Big Trees: Normal Trees, but they are scale 2. All the bush and other non-tree stuff is removed. They can burn, but are crushed only by big vehicles (crushable level=2 )
- Very Big Trees: Big Trees, but scale 3. Dont burn, no bush and other stuff, cant be crushed or only by very big vehicles. Kind of like buildings.
- To create a new Editor Sorting category for World Builder : Big Shrubbery. The new trees ( Big and Very Big ) will go in that category.
- For the names of Big Trees: B_ before the name of the little brother(B_Treedogwood) and VB_ for Very Big Trees.
- Create the 2 new tree categories, and make WB working with all that stuff

Why don't we sort of make a forum project out of it? Then release a "tree pack" for people to use? I know I could use them for Blitz2. Right now though all my guys are busy on piles of work...so I can't offer any modeling help. I will however, offer to do the tree textures if someone does the models (and uvmap).
Btw X-Man....are you thinking of the trees for Endor?

And we would really like to have Endor trees, I'm sure alot of people would. But if needed I guess we'll make new trees as a last resort.
pcteen1, trees are trees :P They ones used in star wars are just normal trees...it isn't like they were purple "alien" trees.
Yea I saw the pic at generals files earlier...kinda cool, made me think of how better the skins look now though (with the sharpening)...god they were blurry before.

The reason I mentioned the trees was the game "Galactic Battlegrounds" (Age of Kings, but Star Wars). That game had some freaky trees! Check it out:

i do, sounds like a great idea, the trees in wb all suck anus and the bushes are all the same, there is also only one type of foilage for deserts which makes making a desert look like plain old $H!T it would be frigin sweet if you guys could release an open tree pack that could be used for any mod as long as they give credit to sw:ia please do it, i think tatooine would look pretty plain with only joshua trees and no cactuses
